If my memory is any good, this was my first paid job. Of course, it's not what you know, but who, and so I wouldn't have got the job had my father not taken it upon himself to write a book (for which I also did a site) and enlist a literary agent, Bernadette Baker. At the time, I had far more experience with Flash than XHTML/CSS (though little at all with websites), and server-side scripting languages were no more to me than awkardly adopted snippets found with a search engine, so for the layout I opted for a rather novel approach that let me drag and drop elements on a Flash stage rather than wrangle with cross-browser compatibility issues.
